About MarinI have been practicing healing work for over 30 years and have been completely devoted to a full-time practice of healing service for the past 20 years in the Bay Area and Greater Seattle area. With a background in Reiki, Zen Shiatsu, Energy Active Craniosacral Work Hakomi, I now offer Shamanic practices for transformation. My life experience - mother, partner, artist, activist, laborer, waitress, corporate manager - informs my ability to understand the diverse challenges of my clients.
After practicing massage for a number of years, I was drawn to learn processes that allow the client to go deeper underneath what they carry on a physical level. What shows up in the body is a manifestation of something at an emotional/spiritual level that needs our attention. I continue to be deeply inspired by the time I spent in the Peruvian Amazon with Shipibo Shamans and had the honor of being a healer in residence at a center in the jungle to assist people with integration after deeply immersive work. With an extensive apprenticeship in a beautiful and powerful shamanic lineage practice, my love of all things has grown so deeply. I find that many have a hunger to reconnect with the natural world and spirit realms to remember who they are and encourage those I work with to reconnect with many different and accessible practices. I believe it is essential for those working in healing professions to continue learning and growing on their own personal journeys in this lifetime in order to be effective, honest and present for others. Therefore, I continue to do my own inner exploration and understand that my path is not to reach a destination, but to cultivate acceptance in awareness throughout this lifetime. My life journey has helped me develop compassion for, and a commitment to helping those who are struggling. Of all the experiences I've had, I count being a mother, a grandmother, practicing insight meditation in extended periods of silence for many years, and being a part of a living lineage tradition of shamanism to be some of the most profound.
